I was provided a copy of this book by Bethany House in exchange for my honest review.

Unspoken!! Book Review!

                                            Unspoken! by, Dee Henderson!!

From the Back Cover

Charlotte Graham is at the center of the most famous kidnapping in Chicago history.

The task force of FBI and local cops found her two abductors, killed them, rescued her, but it took four very long years. The fact she was found less than three miles from her home, had been there the entire time, haunts them. She's changed her identity, found a profession she loves, and rebuilt her life.

She's never said a word--to the cops, to her doctors, to family--about those four years.
A family legacy has brought her back to Chicago where a reporter is writing a book about the kidnapping. The cops who worked the case are cooperating with him. Her options are limited: Hope the reporter doesn't find the full truth, or break her silence about what happened. And her silence is what has protected her family for years.

Bryce Bishop doesn't know her past, he only knows she has coins to sell from her grandfather's estate--and that the FBI director for the Chicago office made the introduction. The more he gets to know Charlotte, the more interested he becomes, an interest encouraged by those closest to her. But nothing else is working in his favor--she's decided she is single for life, she struggles with her faith, and she's willing to forego a huge inheritance to keep her privacy. She's not giving him much of an opening to work with.

Charlotte wants to trust him. She needs to tell him what happened. Because a crime cops thought was solved, has only opened another chapter...

My Review!

The book starts out with alot of information on coin collecting and the selling of them.
I don't know that much about the subject myself but it was interesting anyways!
The story is about a young woman named Charlotte, who had been kidnapped years earlier, who now is selling all the coins from her grandfathers collection! She has changed her identity so as not to be detected, she also blames God for not protecting her or the little boy who was also kidnapped!
Bryce is a bored coin collector. He and Charlotte meet when she sells him coins she's inherited from her Grandfather's estate. These are the two main characters, you should read the book and experience all the twists and turns found in this story!
It seemed a little hard to get into at the beginning but ended up being a pretty good book!!

I was given this book free from Bethany House in exchange for an honest review.

Trim Healthy Mama | A Review and Giveaway!

Unlike other diet and nutrition books, Trim Healthy Mama simplifies the why behind the weight and offers recipes that are extremely doable and tasty! Plus, since both authors are homeschooling mothers of large families (think 5 children or more), they are conscious of tight-budgets, picky eaters, and time restraints.

Young Living Oils

Do you use oils?
I have been using Young Living Oils for about 10 years, and have been happy with them.
Thieves is probably our favorite, as long as we are faithful using it when we go out we don't usually pick up all the sicknesses!
Lavender is another one my daughter and I use for our headaches, also M-Grain!
we use these topically and defuse them! Thieves is ok to ingest! can be used for a toothache!!
just put in an order for Lemon oil!
I am trying a different oil each month this year for an oil challenge!
Last month was Joy oil, which we didn't really like the smell when we got it, we never did get to loving it like everyone else seemed to in the challenge.
This month is Lemon oil, we haven't received ours yet so we will see what we think of it!!!
I'm learning alot about the different oils and their uses!!

Courting Cate (The Courtships of Lancaster County)

I truly enjoyed this book!
I had never read anything by Leslie Gould before.

Growing up I was always intrigued by the Amish.
That being said, This story is about 2 daughters who grew up without a mother. The one always giving in to the other, putting her first.

Cate reminds me of myself, feisty and quick to loose her temper... When she finds God again she becomes a different person.

Cate was burned by love and so she decided to explore a career instead...But then their father who was worried about Cate so he decided that Betsy couldn't court or marry til Cate did.
Through alot of scheming...and lies on Betsy's part she does everything in her power to find someone to court her sister

. Pete comes to town and Cate does find him intriguing, they have alot of the same interests especially reading. He seems interested in her--but is it real?

You should, really give this book a read....

I received this complimentary book from Bethany House as part of their book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own

Grandmother Says... Carrots, Eggs, or Coffee; "Which are you?"

Grandmother Says... Carrots, Eggs, or Coffee; "Which are you?"

A young woman went to her grandmother and told her about her life and how things were so hard fo...r her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved a new one arose.

Her grandmother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water. In the first, she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs and the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her granddaughter, she asked, "Tell me what do you see?"

"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.

She brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they got soft. She then asked her to take an egg and break it.

After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg.

Finally, she asked her to sip the coffee. The granddaughter smiled, as she tasted its rich aroma. The granddaughter then asked. "What's the point, grandmother?"

Her grandmother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity--boiling water--but each reacted differently.

The carrot went in strong, hard and unrelenting. However after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior. But, after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.

The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water they had changed the water.

"Which are you?" she asked her granddaughter.

"When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?"

Think of this: Which am I?

Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity, do I wilt and

become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff?

Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you.

When the hours are the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate to another level?

Threefold Promise
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Oh, wonderful promises given
To those who wait on the Lord;
Strength for the faint who have fallen,
Power for weakness outpoured.

Blessed the threefold assurance
Thrilling the soul like a song:
They shall mount up as the eagles
On wide wings and swift wings and strong;

Run with the stride of the racer,
Leaping unwearied and free,
Till he comes to the end of his journey
And the crown of his effort shall see.

But the word for the worn and the weary,
Who know not the rapture of wings,
Who know not the joy of the runner,
What infinite comfort it brings!

Walk and not faint; the slow steppings,
The plodding dull round of the days,
The toil and the heat and the burdens,
The wearying halts and delays.

Oh, promise for those who are walking,
Who falter and stumble and fall,
The courage, the strength and the patience,
This is the sweetest of all.
